  • FEBRUARY 7, 2012 is a REGULAR, FULL INSTRUCTIONAL DAY (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM). HB612 passed by the TN Senate and House in Spring 2011 stipulated that the presidential primary would take place in the second Tuesday of March, instead of the second Tuesday in February -- as was past practice. With the legislative change occurring after the originally approved PCSS three (3) year calendar (11-12; 12-13; 13-14) was developed, the UPDATED calendar removing "February 7, 2012" as an "Election Day" (non-instructional, no student attendance day) in the 2011-2012 school year calendar was Board approved in June 2011. The correct 2011-2012 school year calendar is/has been available for download on the PCSS website following Board action in June 2011.

Volunteer Opportunity!

The PTO is looking for a few good people. There are two officer openings in our PTO. Mr. Herron, the PTO president, is looking for people to fill the vice president and treasurer positions. Also, if anyone is interested in volunteering in the school bookstore on Fridays from 10:30-1:30, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are willing to volunteer your time to help, please e-mail us at cmsjackets@k12tn.net. When we all work together, great things happen!
